Southeast Richmond

To the Southeast of Richmond we find the counties of Charles City, Hopwell, Prince George, and Surry. On the waterfront of the James and Appomattox Rivers is Hopewell, Virginia. With a pride in its history, a love of the water, many neighborhood parks, and a commitment to education, Hopewell is a small and beautiful community. Near Virginia’s Tri-City area is rural Prince George County and its 35,000 residents. Prince George is only an hour away from the heart of Richmond and is also near Busch Gardens of Williamsburg, the Blue Ridge Mountains, and many other attractions. Surry County is a relic, a link to the past. Marshlands, forests, and ferryboats are still common sights in Surry.
